This course covers topics specific to leading group exercise classes. Topics include: leadership, trends and media, history, legal responsibility and accountability, class components, music, movement and cueing, developing movement combinations, exercise analysis, and special populations.
This course is combined with Portable Equipment designation which is a practical based component and covers specific information for planning and developing portable equipment classes. Topics include: use of portable equipment, evolution, research and guidelines, class structure and content; planning, class components, use of music, leadership and choreography; equipment exercises, movement combinations, instruction and cueing.
*May include, but not limited to the following: free weights, body bars/barbells, stability balls, tubing/resist-a-bands, BOSU, steps, medicine balls, foam rollers.
When:
Friday March 23, from 6 - 9pm (bring your own dinner)
Saturday March 24, from 9am - 5pm
Sunday March 25, from 8am - 5pm
To be considered fully registered we require 100% payment.

If you need to cancel your registration, the NWTRPA must be notified of the cancellation by email. Cancellation charges will be effective from the date and time we receive email notification as follows:
o Before 3 days of workshop date – 85% refund
o Within 24 hours of workshop date – No refund
