This is a 20 hour course covering topics such as leadership, muscular strength, muscular endurance, circuit, introductory weight training programs, monitoring fitness centre, and/or weight room orientation.
Topics covered include: techniques and precautions, exercise analysis, design, anatomy program design, specialty background, safety considerations, training methods, and resistance training with women, older adults and youth.
Friday November 2, from 5:30 - 9:30pm (bring your own dinner)
Saturday November 3, from 9am - 6pm
Sunday November 4, from 8:30am - 5:30pm

Cost: $185 plus GST
To be considered fully registered we require 100% payment.
If you need to cancel your registration, the NWTRPA must be notified of the cancellation by email. Cancellation charges will be effective from the date and time we receive email notification as follows:
o Before 3 days of workshop date – 85% refund
o Within 24 hours of workshop date – No refund
The NWT Recreation and Parks Association reserves the right to cancel any program or workshop. If such a situation arises you will be notified as soon as possible (by email or phone call). As a result of such a cancellation, you will be refunded all monies paid.
